[ He was surprised to be invited, but then again, it's Grimm, so why does he expect any less? The man always does things like this.

He's been in vanishingly few theaters. ]

I'm sure it will be interesting. [ It always is. If not, Grimm tends to make things so. ] Though I'm a little surprised you invited me. I'm sure you could have found someone more appreciative of theater.

Perhaps. But this is a desire to share in something with a friend and you are very much a friend of mine, dear Ekkehardt.

[And that is ultimately what he cherishes - the time spent together. In a theater or doing absolutely nothing at all. Together is as entertaining as it always will be.]

But if you wish to do something else after this is over, I would be delighted as well to indulge.

[Even if it's silly. Very few things were 'too silly' for him.]

I'm not much for indulgence. [ He says, after the year he's had, somehow with a straight face. ] But I wouldn't say no to another little shopping trip.

[ He settles back into his seat with a slight smile. ] I'm never going to get used to being called that.

[ Being a friend of Grimm's, someone he trusts, is a rare thing. He treasures it, never taking it for granted. ]

Of course. I hear there are many interesting sweaters being sold for Valentine's Day.

[He's kidding...maybe. Grimm's predictability is something that one could not bet on because his whims took him wherever he desired more then half the time.

Ekkehardt's comment causes him to laugh.]

And that, my friend, is more incentive to continue to call you that.

[Although he knows that Ekkehardt's displays of friendship and affection are not as boisterous as his is, it's no lesser for it. A treasure and a light in the world that Grimm loves. It's wonderful.]

Sweaters again? I'd almost prefer getting drunk. [ If he really had to choose....well, maybe doing both those things at once would be more interesting. There's a slight smile lingering on his face, never quite leaving. ]

So, is there any particular reason you chose this show? Or was it simply a matter of chance?

[Grimm just smiles. He has an idea of what to do if the sweaters are not on the table. Terrible, terrible things. Only not really.]

Hum...a little of many things. I was asked by the director for my input on their first performance and the story in general interests me. It is about two lovers across a series of reincarnations.

[It's very interesting to him and he'd like to see how it's handled.]

A love story? Well, that's appropriate for this month, I suppose. [ Love is on his mind more often lately. No prizes for why that is. ]

It does sound an interesting topic for a theater play. Quite ambitious for a first performance, I have to say.
